A blog about my first DIY Mountain Bike Build after taking a 7 year break from cycling. This will be the best way to document my experiences and share it with other enthusiasts around the world.
I would love to hear you comments and advice.

The new tools
Here's a picture of the tools I purchased yesterday.
Firstly, good luck with the build i think you will have a great time and learn a lot. Secondly, with regards to tools, you may find some specific bike tools may help make your job easier.
For example, spoke tool, cassette remover, bottom bracket tool, tyre levers, maybe a brake bleed kit (depending on brand of hydro brakes you get) etc.
You can pick up bike tool sets online very easily and reasonably cheap. i think you will find that a lot of the problems you will encounter can be fixed by using the right tools for the right job.
Have fun with it all, looking forward to see the progress :)
I am looking for bike tools on several sites, such as ChainReactionCycles and Merlin. I found that the headpress tool is really expensive ($90-150). The rest ssh as the spoke tool, cassette remover bottom bracket tool, tyre levels are within my budget and will shop around for them.
Had a user from one of the forums offer me a few second hand tools if I paid for shipping, so I'm just waiting for a reply from the user. (hopefully I get some bike specific tools out of it)
Gday mate!
